Former Mayor Fills La Cañada Flintridge Council Vacancy
The longtime resident filled the seat vacated by Councilman Keith Eich. Former Mayor of La Cañada Flintridge, Don Voss, has been chosen to fill a vacant position in the city's City Council after Eich moved out of the city. Voss has served two four-year terms on the City Council and previously served as mayor and city treasurer. His tenure included service as mayor, working on regional issues such as trail restoration, freeway sound walls, and opposition to the proposed 710 Freeway tunnel. He has a finance degree from the University of Washington and a degree from Rutgers University Stonier Graduate School of Banking. VOSS was named "La Cañadan of the Year" in 2016 for his leadership and volunteer work. The city's Municipal Code requires the council to fill the vacancy within 30 days without an appointment or a special election.
