Others look l... The Los Angeles Police Department has stored hundreds of police vehicles in a storage lot beneath the 101 Freeway for over 25 years. The parking lot, which includes Ford Crown Victorias, Explorers, Chevrolet SUVs, and newer police vehicles, was discovered by YouTuber effspot while exploring downtown Los Angeles. He filmed rows of old police cruisers, SUVs and other vehicles and questioned why so many cars were not being sold or scrapped. Official documents reveal that the Los Angeles police Department has used the property for storage for over a decade and has experienced ongoing security issues. The property has been leased from the California Department of Transportation since June 1999 and can accommodate up to 200 vehicles, including marked patrol cars, unmarked vehicles, transportation vehicles, and specialized police equipment.
