Deaf workers lose thousands in power tools to thieves, have group hug, vow to 'keep going'

The theft occurred in broad daylight while the construction workers were making repairs to a home in Granada Hills. Jan Menapace, owner of Neverless Construction in Granada Hills, California, has raised nearly $4,000 to replace thousands of dollars worth of power tools stolen while her deaf construction workers were working on repairs to her home. The theft occurred on Oct. 22 and left Menapate feeling upset and heartbroken for the workers. She shared videos of the incident with The Times in hopes someone would identify the thieves and report them to the Los Angeles Police Department. The stolen equipment, which included a blower, was used to patch up a leak and repair water damage in Menapac's kitchen during storms.
