No Kings: get-out-the-vote rally draws smaller-than-usual crowds in front of City Hall. Thousands of Angelenos gathered outside Los Angeles City Hall for a No Kings: get-out-the-vote rally ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections. The rally, which was led by Black Lives Matter organizers, anti-ICE activists, and state assemblyman Isaac Bryan, encouraged attendees to vote and organize against the Trump administration. Protesters also demanded the abolition of ICE and the end of U.S. involvement in conflicts in the Middle East. The Southern California chapter of 50501, part of the coalition that organized the rally, stated that nationwide No Kings rallies showed Americans' discontent with the Trump Administration through larger turnouts. However, attendees and speakers said the smaller crowds were disappointing compared to previous protests.
