The City of Laredo has held a raffle contest to celebrate a new direct flight from the Gateway City to Los Angeles. The winners were announced via a live stream on the city's social media pages and at a press conference at the airport. Fernando Andres Lemus and Jeffery Jones were chosen from over 600 submissions. The trip includes roundtrip airfare, lodging for 4 days and 3 nights, plus a $500 Visa gift card for expenses. The first flight is set to take off from the Laringo International Airport on June 12.

In an effort to celebrate the new direct flight from the Gateway City to Los Angeles, the City of Laredo gave away a round trip to the star-studded city.
Shortly after 10 a.m. on Tuesday, the winners were announced via a live stream on the city’s social media pages as officials gathered for a lively press conference at the airport.
After some suspense, Fernando Andres Lemus and Jeffery Jones were announced winners out of more than 600 submissions, according to a city Facebook post.
In case any of the two winners can’t make the trip, two alternates were also named during the press conference.
The trip includes roundtrip airfare, lodging for 4 days and 3 nights, plus a $500 Visa gift card for expenses.
The first flight is set to take off Wednesday, June 12, from the Laredo International Airport.
