Los Angeles police are searching for the driver of a gray four-door sedan that fatally struck a 66-year-old pedestrian in South Los Angeles. The vehicle was making a westbound turn from a gas station when it hit the pedestrian, which continued until bystanders alerted him. The driver returned to the scene but left the scene before officers arrived, failing to provide his information as required by law. A reward of up to $50,000 may be offered under the city's Hit-and- Run Reward Program for information leading to the driver's identification, apprehension, conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
