Coastline College Leads New National Center To Track Cybersecurity Education’s Impact
The two-year, $1.5 million effort will measure how college cybersecurity programs contribute to jobs, local economies and national security. Coastline College is leading a new National Center, the Economic Assessment National Center (ECN), to track the impact of cybersecurity programs on graduates and certifications, jobs and regional economic benefits. The initiative is supported by about $1.5 million through the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity program within the National Security Agency. Coastal College will serve as the national lead and coordinate six regional hubs to share data across the country. Partner institutions include the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, Metropolitan State University, the University at Albany (SUNY), Kean University, George Mason University, and the University West Florida.
