The cancellations are due to delays in Boeing aircraft deliveries and a loss of pilot productivity awaiting delivery of the 737 MAX aircraft. No flights are available after October 13th, 2024, according to Allegiant’s booking website. The cancellation of the Nashville route was announced in May, with the last flight departing RFD on October 28th, 2025. The cost-reduction measures are being implemented in anticipation of receiving fewer Boeing aircraft in 2024 than initially planned.

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Allegiant reportedly plans to cut 19 routes from its schedule this fall, including new routes from the Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD) to Los Angeles and Nashville.
Announced in February, the Rockford airport’s first flight to Los Angeles (LAX) is scheduled to depart Wednesday, June 12th at 3:40 p.m.
According to Allegiant’s booking website, no flights are available after October 13th, 2024.
Ditto the Nashville (BNA) route, which was announced in May, which shows the last flight departing RFD on October 28th, 2024.
According to a recent report, a cost-reduction measure is the reason for the route cuts, with delays in deliveries of Boeing aircraft causing Allegiant to incur “significant expenses,” according to President Greg Anderson, as well as a “loss of pilot productivity awaiting delivery of the 737 MAX aircraft.”
The report did not say whether Allegiant would restore service if it receives the Boeing aircraft.
“We are currently rightsizing our schedule in anticipation of receiving fewer Boeing aircraft in 2024 than initially planned,” Allegiant director of corporate communications, Sonya Padgett was quoted as saying.
In total, the 19 affected routes are reported as:
