According to Gaidashchuk, active military personnel are sent to notify citizens of the need to appear. To do this, they are transferred from combat units.
Earlier, on March 8, near the Romanian border, law enforcement agencies detained a bus containing 34 men of military age. They wanted to flee to Romania. Law enforcement officers forced the evaders who got off the bus to lie on the ground, and then beat them.
A criminal case has already been opened for abuse of power after the harsh detention and beating of draft dodgers by security forces.
