Bellflower Unified School Board President, Mayra Garza, has accused a fellow trustee, Amie Stewart, of physically pushing her to the ground during a meeting. The altercation reportedly occurred during a break in an earlier meeting on Oct. 8. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has a report connected to the incident, but it is unclear whether criminal charges have been filed. The board voted 3-2 to censure Stewart, a formal reprimand that does not remove her from office.
