A-lister Charlize Theron might just be daughter of the year.

According to Robb Report, the Hollywood actress recently purchased a Los Angeles-area mansion for her mother, Gerda Maritz, for $3,290,000.

It’s a five-bedroom, 5.5-bath Studio City residence with tons of character. Between the double-sided fireplace in the primary suite and the spa-style bath with breathtaking views, the home’s appeal is undeniable.

Other standout details include marble finishes in the main bathroom, a balcony overlooking the pool, and wide-plank floors throughout both levels. The neighborhood has a quaint feel but is less than 20 minutes by car from downtown Los Angeles.

This perfect pad is one of many real estate transactions for the busy actress. Over the past two decades, Theron has demonstrated quite an eye for premium property. She has scooped up homes ranging from Hollywood hideaways to beautiful bungalows.

Let’s take a closer look at her impressive real estate portfolio, which includes a collection of incredible California dwellings.

Earlier this year, Theron put her high-end Hollywood Hills home on the market for $3,750,000, and the residence is already pending sale.

She purchased the three-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom property in 2004 for $3 million, also reportedly for her mother.

The stucco-clad, Spanish-style estate features beamed ceilings, a lagoon pool with a waterfall, and panoramic views from every window.

It also sits on its own promontory, giving it a glamorously exclusive feel.

Theron can’t get enough of Studio City, apparently. The “Mad Max: Fury Road” actress also owns a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath, single-family home there that’s just a quick drive from Universal Studios. According to property records, she picked up the place in 2022 for $2.6 million—also possibly for a family member.

Built in 1941, the 2,000-square-foot charmer features new white-oak flooring, a detached flex space, and a Japanese soaking tub. There’s also a Manzanilla olive tree and meticulous landscaping out back.

Designed and built by luxury home developer Rob Diaz, the interior is packed with chic details, such as alabaster sconces, marble countertops, and custom-built cabinetry.

Way back in 1998, Theron purchased a 5,005-square-foot mansion in the hilly Outpost Estates neighborhood for $1.6 million.

She still owns the four-bedroom, five-bathroom house, and it likely serves as her home base when she’s in Southern California.

The circa-1929 residence has a stucco facade, pretty tile roof, and two-car garage.

Last but not least is Theron’s former digs—a historic Los Angeles bungalow. She bought the charming Spanish-style home in 2000 for $519,000 and sold it in 2022 for $2,325,000. According to public records, it needed just two weeks to sell.

Built in 1925, the single-level property boasts a home theater, an office, a gym, and an art studio.

Before putting the place on the market, Theron expanded the kitchen, refinished the floors, and added a lap pool to the backyard.

Theron, 48, had her breakout role in 1997, when she was cast in “The Devil’s Advocate” opposite Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino. She has since won an Oscar for her work on “Monster” and has appeared in numerous films, including “Mad Max: Fury Road,” “Atomic Blonde,” and “Fast X.”
