LOS ANGELES 2028: New polling shows big majority of Los Angeles-area residents expect the 2028 Games to be a “positive” for L.A. - The Sports Examiner - Your all-in-one coverage of Olympic-sports news, views, previews and results. New polling conducted by YouGov for the Acceleration Community of Companies and the USC Annenberg School for Communications and Journalism has revealed that a majority of Los Angeles-area residents expect the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles to be a "positive" for the city. The survey also found that 49-12% of 49% of the national survey felt that the Games would be positive (20% very positive), while only 12% expected a negative impact. The Los Angeles survey found 60% of locals felt that they expected the Games to be positive, while only 11% saw the Games as a future negative. The findings suggest that a strong majority of 61-7% locally for a successful, well-attended Games with strong tourism is a clear direction for a success. However, not everyone cares about the competitions.
