Pulse Fund Founder Backs Climate-Focused Firms
One of Los Angeles’ buzziest new venture capitalists grew up in a world without money. As a child, Tenzin Seldon lived nomadically in the Himalayas as Tonezin Seldon, founder of Pulse Fund in Los Angeles, has invested in climate-focused firms such as the energy transition, food and agriculture, infrastructure, and mobility sectors. The Santa Monica-based venture firm, founded in 2022, is using capital to develop solutions to environmental issues such as energy, food, agriculture, and transportation. Pulse Fund, which closed its first fund at $63 million, focuses on Plantible’s plant-based protein products, Mast Reforestation’s carbon credits scheme, and Twelve’'s carbon dioxide emissions recycling technology. Seldon's hands-on approach has been well-received by John Walsh, founder and board member of Ohio-based electric shuttle and school bus start-up Endera.
