“That aircraft defied physics.” Boeing 737 pilot on odd UFO sighting he had in the skies above Los Angeles Boeing 737 pilot, John Chesire, a former US Navy fighter pilot and former Captain, First Officer, and Flight Engineer for several US airlines, experienced an unusual UFO sighting while flying a B-737 late at night from Las Vegas (LAS) to Los Angeles (LAX) in the 1990s. The sighting occurred above Los Angeles and was described by Chesire as an 'incident' that defied physics and defied the laws of physics. Despite these sightings, Chesire quickly identified them as something easily explainable and mundane, and thus no longer "unidentified". However, he recalls a rare sighting that occurred during his time as a captain flying a Boeing 737.
